If we want the copyright file to be machine-readable (which could be useful), I suggest this or something similar.

This thread is for discussion of our asset license guideline. I want to keep the guideline free of discussion so artists get a clear picture and don't need to fiddle with any details.

The biggest issue with CC-BY-NC-SA 3.0 is that it is unclear with 'NC' is. It's best to avoid it all together.
If you're using other people's work (e.g. map assets), keep a text file where you write down where you got it
(aka the download link).

Sure, but as a mapper you can have a hard time finding resources that are under very permissive licenses, which was one of the reasons for the compromise to allow NC on non-base assets.
