I was eager to play this game when I noticed something quite astonishing.
It seems someone has hacked the Unvanquished homepage/download page and removed any reference to system requirements. This is the first thing I look at when considering downloading a game but I can't seem to find this information anywhere on the entire web, including the wiki or forums. I thought the game was 15MB and then the "installer" starts downloading without even telling me how much disk space I'm going to need.
This seems to be something that is impossible to overlook so I must assume that someone has sabotaged your efforts. I find it hard to believe you can be competent enough to make such a game, and overlook the most basic and fundamental of things like this. I think it's also unlikely that one would intentionally do this as it would detract from you image as a competent development team.
You might want to correct this ASAP and find out who has deleted all references system requirements.
By looking at the games media you must have known it would be over 15mb. Plus what did you think an installer was? But yes I agree there should be a system requirements available
One thing I'd like to point out is that once we list system requirements, they're very much subject to change. I mean, we're constantly doing things with the renderer, not to mention adding new assets and maps that are much larger than their Tremulous predecessors. At some point, we're going to drop the vanilla renderer too, because we'll be able to reach a point where GL3 has been optimized enough that it can run just fine with all the options turned down. Really, why maintain two renderers when one can just be scaled for performance?

It needs to be compatible with a large range of hardware you know. I've recruited over 10 people to unvanquished, and all of them couldn't run GL3. Well, one can make it past the main menu without entering a game, but that's about it.
If you can't run GL3 then it's time for an upgrade.
Also it seems we need to write 'WE ARE IN ALPHA - GAME NOT 100% FINISHED' in bold letters on the website as it apparently isn't obvious enough already.
