Please add bots to EU server, or a EU server with bots

Post by lamefun »

This game still has very few players, and isn't that fun without bots.

I've joined Training, but people kept voting draw to skip matches in hope of getting a normal game. I've asked some people to move over from Training to NA and got: "We 3 are in France, our connection is too bad on NA server". Mine isn't too good either, 100 on EU vs 200 on NA.

Maybe kangz (who runs Official EU) would like to run a second instance with bots? If not I could host another server in germany.

What we really need (but Fuma never wanted to add :frown: ) is the feature that bots are added and removed dynamically to ensure that the game is atleast n vs. m.

I agree it would be nice to have bots on a European server, without having necessarily to start a second server instance, just put bots by default and players will kick them if needed.

But ideally it would be like you said Viech, having bots to auto-balance teams on the fly, when a players join, leave or switch of team.

Is Fuma against this idea for technical or gameplay reasons?

He said there were technical issues but I can't quite figure out the difficulty in this.
