missing some animation *.md5anim files and the game crashes

I was able to compile cleanly and run the game. I can also join a server and move around as a spectator. However, when I try to move close to either teams base, join a team, or spectate a player, the game crashes. The following is the whole log. It would appear that I'm missing some animation files along with some *.wav files. I have all the necessary *.pk3 files from assets at the source forge. I tried to look for those *.md5anim files but couldn't find them.

Which server are you connecting to? Does it happen to all servers? Does the game work locally?

This happens with all the available servers and I can't even run the game locally. Depending on the map, I can move around as a spectator but can't join any teams, or the game crashes promptly because one of the team's base was close to the spectator spawn spot. I don't know, I'm not a programmer, but may be it has to do with the version of Linux I'm using? I'm using Suse 12.1 and I don't plan to upgrade any further on my laptop. When I have time I'll try to compile on my desktop, which is marginally more recent than the laptop and has the latest Suse 12.3. In the mean time I'll just use Mac.

I doubt this has anything to do with your linux version, it sounds more like an unvanquished version mismatch of some sorts. Most of your setup looks good, but there's one more thing you should try (this should really cause less severe issues, but you never know): Since the current master is now on the state of the gameplay branches you'll want to put the following asset paks inside /home/Monk/.Unvanquished/main/:

http://unvanquished.net/downloads/resou ... 0.18.4.pk3

As of the next release, their content should be merged into pakI.pk3.

Also, get these navmeshes (yours are outdated and lack the files for the advanced dretch):

Start the game. Type /developer 1. And then join the team and post the log.

Ok so setting the high poly models to 0 allowed me to join a team without the game crash. The is a partial log as everything above that invalid bevel warning has been cut off for some reason.
