First post! Woot!
Anyways, i'm having trouble trying to understand whats happening in this tremz/unvanquished situation.
All i've understood soo far is tremz is not unvanquished, and is led by volt, which is planning on fixing bugs on tremz through this unvanquished source as they run on similar engines, and unvanquished is like tremz except different. One runs on daemon and other openwolf.
Any other details i should know or am i wrong in any of this?

Re: Tremz/Unvanquished
Ow, SNAFU.
TremZ = Volt, Dustpan, HermXIV.
Unvanquished = we, that is, everyone else from the old project.
Daemon was forked from OpenWolf. OpenWolf, though, publicly admits grabbing our patches. See #20 below.
Unvanquished has recently made its second (alpha) release. TremZ didn't yet make a single one, but they said one is in the works.
This explanation is probably the most objective one you'll find.

Re: Tremz/Unvanquished
I still got a few more questions: why is the unvanquished source have the project name as "tremz"?
Unvanquished = we, that is, everyone else from the old project.
<< + others?
Re: Tremz/Unvanquished
Unvanquished changed names from Tremz but volt/etc didn't want to change names and so used TremZ for the name of their project. The Unvanquished source on github was created before the name change and I'm not sure if it's possible to change the github name now.
Re: Tremz/Unvanquished
It is possible to change the GitHub name but we only get one name change, so it won't be done until the first (stable) release to make sure that it's the name we will stay with.
I would estimate that we have between 30-40 people directly contributing to the project in different ways.
