Hi, here I'm going to post some of the problems I found in Unvanquished 0.3.5 (alpha 3).
I am also experiencing the same problem as Asvarox, though I did not have to reset my computer.
Next to the "metal footsteps", the dretch model is extremely small [ 123 ]. An error in exporting the model?
The human rifle is stuck in a single frame of the reload animation. Buying it again, respawning, firing and reloading still show the same position [ 12 ]. It does bob when you move though.
The Pulse Rifle is completely invisible.
The Mass Driver shows no reload and fire animation. It does bob though. (same problem as rifle?)
Building and player animations are jerky, as if they play at 5 fps. (This does not apply to the textures though). You can see this especially on the naked human running. Also the Basilisk's taunt animation is way too fast. It makes it seem twitchy.
The alpha textures on the alien buildings don't seem to work. [ 12 ]
Sounds that should be 2d are played in 3d. For example, if you strafe to the left and taunt, the taunt only comes from the right channel. This is highly annoying when strafejumping as the sound keeps shifting from left to right. Turning off OpenAl fixes this.
Redownloading the package to see if there is a difference between the full version and the patch wielded no results.
Check out the new build of Unvanquished. It has the small dretch and dretch footsteps fixed. (If it doesn't, post here and I'll walk you through the steps of fixing it.)
