Re: tagging system problems & questions to upstream

XReaperX, cu-kai, and Redsky have already summed up my thoughts quite well. However, I’d like to add a few points of my own.

Let's agree this was a joke, right?
Sure it was.

Let's keep this relation friendly and welcoming to anyone, and let's laugh on your jokes.

Unfortunately, upstream doesn’t seem to want that. Just look at Gireen’s behavior for proof.

I’ve read your messages more than twice. Nowhere do I see an answer to the question about why the "featured" tag was removed from Sweet’s server. Let me remind you:

So again, I'm asking illwieckz to explain WHY the "featured" tag was removed from Sweet's server.

I have no time to participate in this discussion. I haven't read yet the new comments, I don't have time for this right now:

There may be answers to give, but I have stronger priorities, this will be for later or never, time will tell.

Everyone of you, I invite you to reconsider your priorities:

This discussion isn't bringing anything good for anyone, it does exactly the opposite.

Wow. What unfortunate timing. Here’s hoping this gets resolved soon, so you can finally address our questions. As for me, I don’t need to reconsider my priorities. I’m still waiting for an answer. And no, I don’t believe this discussion is pointless or harmful.

I never said new players need feature labels specifically to decide that.

...

As for the actual feature labels, the number of active servers at present is so small that I wouldn't spend two brain cells worrying about the burden of players figuring out which one to join.

It's important for new players, lest they join an unmaintained server and end up quitting the game entirely because of some hairy issue they encountered that does not happen on other servers.

so its supposed to be not needed and important at the same time? sure

besides that please keep your dirty fantasies for yourself. you will remain in the horny jail.

Even here, you’re still trolling. Can you just stop, Gireen? I don’t understand why you’re still an administrator. It speaks volumes about how this project is managed.

Sweet can prove it wrong anytime, we just need his will to contribute to materialize.

You banned him on GitHub, Discord, and shadow-banned him on the forum... But sure, he can “prove it wrong” anytime. How convenient.

stop talking about fucking all the time

Then stop trolling.

In itself, I will still have a lot to say, but I will do it when I have the courage.

Forgiveness

Post by illwieckz »

Forgiveness applies to real harm and true accusations, when something is not true, then we can just ignore it and that doesn't require consent.

It's time to forgive.

Forgiveness is offered to everyone, including you. Forgiveness is a consensual act of love and cannot be forced. Those who refuse forgiveness cannot be forgiven. Those who accept forgiveness are forgiven.

I offer forgiveness to you Grise.
I offer forgiveness to Sweet. I verified that Sweet is allowed to answer publicly here.
I offer forgiveness to everyone.

It's a take-it-or-leave-it situation. Those who don't take it cannot complain as it's upon them.

I offer forgiveness.

Everyone of you can also offer forgiveness too. If you do it for me, I accept it.

Happy Easter.

Someone pointed me out a possible misunderstanding. So just to clarify, when I said:

I verified that Sweet is allowed to answer publicly here.

I'm not mandating him to do it publicly, it's just that Grise pretended that Sweet was « shadow-banned on the forum ». I want to make it clear there is no such thing as shadow-banning and the forum software itself doesn't have such mechanism to begin with. Also I make it explicit that Sweet currently has no restriction to post on the forum if he needs to. Some people told me in the past that Sweet wanted chat unban negotiation to happen on the forum, so I do believe it is important to mention the fact that if he wants to participate in the discussions I verified he can. As discussed on GitHub, I did a temporary lock to prevent pressure building actions that could delay the release, and such lock has been lifted.

So when Grise said:

Sweet can prove it wrong anytime, we just need his will to contribute to materialize.

You banned him on GitHub, Discord, and shadow-banned him on the forum... But sure, he can “prove it wrong” anytime. How convenient.

It's important to notice that Sweet only has a chat ban which is supposed to be negotiated. There is no GitHub or forum ban running. Some days of locking in more than a year just to help the release process is definitely not preventing anyone to prove any will. Also Grise should not assume that Sweet has to prove this will in public.

Sweet has multiple ways to reach me and other peoples: e-mail, discord private message, etc.

Grise doesn't have to know what Sweet can say to me and Sweet should not have to report to Grise on such topic. When I ask Sweet to prove good will, I'm not asking Sweet to prove it to Grise, so actual forum or GitHub permissions cannot matter anyway.

As I said, all of this is pointless, we should focus on reconciliation, not feeding the flamewar.

It's time for forgiveness for those who want to heal our community.
