Yes that's weird, while doing license and author checking for files while working on our repositories, I discovered we have too pistols… and both are great and under CC By SA 3.0 licence… 
Well, I had an idea discovering that, since we plan to allow people to chose between a male and female model, which is pure customisation, why not also allowing people to chose their preferred side-arm: infinite blaster with slow projectiles, or more powerful pistol with limited round. We can offer two pistols with some advantage/disadvantage each one. This option would be a profile-option (i.e. you would keep the same side weapon in game).
