There's nothing stopping anyone from making a "classic" mode. After all, the file formats are all compatible.

Without editing the source code itself, the human_base vanilla aren't. Dragoon vanilla screws up as well, Painsaw doesn't reach out anymore.... I haven't tested the others yet.
