Hello, the doom 3 have been liberated, and the source code is available here :https://github.com/id-Software/DOOM-3-BFG
and the id Tech 4 have been liberated too

So I would know if you have any plan to use id Tech 4 ?

Short answer: No.
Moderately longer answer: That would mean much work for an outcome that wouldn't be exactly worth the aforementioned amount of work, so no.

Even better answer: find something useful from idTech4 that we don't have that would be worth merging, and we will consider doing so. I don't think anyone on the team has the time to even really look at the idTech4 source to make such considerations.

We need more foss games based on iodoom3... Atm, it's quite defunct, but a strong game could change that.
