Okay, so I just updated Unv today, and went to join the dev server, and got a syscall ABI mismatch error message. Is this another bug, or is it on my end?

Go to your data directory, and tell me if you see any extra vms files. There should only be one, the most recent one. Sometimes, I suppose the installer doesn't properly remove the older one.
Where's the data directory?
EDIT: Never mind, I think I found it. I have the vms-0.13.0pk3, is that it?
Yes, remove that. Make sure you have only vms-0.14.

Can you post your startup log (/condump log.txt)?
Okay, now where did the log.txt go? I assume it's a text file somewhere?
It should be somewhere in ~/Library/Application Support/Unvanquished/.
