Smoke Light issues

Hey, yep another issue.
I'm getting a constant stream of squares where the smoke is supposed to be, and the lights are just squares.

It seems like some of your map-.pk3 or pak.pk3 files (game assets) are missing or broken. You should compare the md5sums of these files in your installation directory with the files in the repository and replace those that are missing (or if you're under windows and have no tool to generate md5sums: replace all of them). If you're under linux you probably have an update-paks shell script somewhere in your installation that does exactly that (it's the same tool that is used to grab the assets when installing the game).

I don't think its the actual textures are broken, rather it's the .shader files not working/not downloaded properly [as you said] or your computer can't handle transparency in a way of .tga [targa] files. It's happened to me before, and i don't remember how i fixed it.
