starting a server crashes my game ?

when i select create server it begins for a few seconds and then crashes

If there is a crash, it should save it somewhere in the gamedir as crashlog.txt.

it just does the "this program has stopped responding and closes" i couldn't find any crashlogs

dunno. If it stops responding, check the application's directory folder for any files without a suffix or .txt.
It's in c:/docs and settings/user/applicationdata/daemon for windows.

Also, see if this crashes: Open the daemon client (daemon.exe). Press "shift-esc" to open the console and type

Code: Select all

/dedicated 2

.

The window should disappear and you should only be left with a console.

Ishq "/dedicated 2" worked fine and virus i am having trouble with finding this folder

It depends on your operating system.
I don't actually own a windows 7 or vista, so i don't know about them, but i do know that it involves a folder called 'roaming'.
On mac OS i think it is: <HDDNAME>/user/library/appsupport/daemon
I'll say it once again, I do not actually own any of these operating systems so i can't be sure.
You should be able to find application data on windows vista though if you search for %appdata% as a friend of mine does it this way.
