Human Model Problems/Inaquadacies

I have some complaints about the human model:

  1. The taunt is not a taunt.

A taunt is something you shout, not to intimidate, but to goad. I use a taunt (on both alien/human): after a kill, to elicit an attack from a camper, to get my mates to attack with/follow me, to be friends with a granger, and to fill space, esp when nothing is happening. Describing what happens when you mess with Tony is NOT something you would use in ANY of the previous situations.

  1. The model is WAY too hunched over; he looks like he's preparing to be the Hunchback of Notre Dame

3.* There is only 1 pose for weapons, which is unnatural, esp for ckit, flamer, psaw, and chaingun.

4.* The death animation is broken.

  • I know these are simply due to lack of time/rushed release, but they still need to be fixed.

I agree. As I pointed out on other thread, the pose for some of the weapon is very awkward. For example, when wielding a chain gun, the back should be straight and lean slightly backward and the weapon should be around at waist level, as if you are carrying something heavy, which it is in real life. Also, I have used a chain saw in real life and you don't want to hunch your back like the current human model does when the saw is running. The current weapon pose is mostly suitable for stalking, not when you are out in the open or engaging an enemy who is constantly on the move.

I think the current new "taunt" is totally inappropriate when used for above situations and should be reserved for when you about to deliver a final blow to your enemy or deconners.

Agreed upon everything. But it is possible to hunch over and run at blazinglyfast speed (10 m/s is the approximate equivilent if 32 units = 1 metre) although he's better off balancing himself first.

Ahem...

Goad - Provoke or annoy (someone) so as to stimulate some action or reaction.
Taunt - Provoke or challenge (someone) with insulting remarks.

Let's rename the taunt to a "goad" then.

Bring back Trem taunt gesture, and reserve the current gesture for the enemies you are about to kill and the deconners.

Not to mention. Get a mate to crouch, aim down, move around, turn around and taunt. It looks hilarious.
It is amazing how one does such poses:
