I had my computer formated few days ago, I downloaded the latest version of Unv, ran the "Daemon - Vanilla Renderer" shortcut, and here's what I saw:

Main menu is all blank, not a single text there. Server browser also misses lots of texts. Missing ones don't appear in any other language (default english and ukrainian, and polish that I added later)
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/40331962/unv/console.txt
Also, I'm unable to open the console when in main menu, only when I'm connecting to a server, but once opened, it cannot be closed the normal way (sign '`' appears in the console instead). I have to use escape.

I have that too, reverting back to 5.0 fixed it for me.

Indeed, all menus (main, in game, options, etc.) are crashed now. Waiting until fix, or might be using 5.0...

Epic fail :-/ I'll figure out what caused and have an updated build up within a few hours.
it seems that deleting the translation/ folder will make the menus work again, which is odd because it works fine for me under Linux.
EDIT:: Works fine if compiled with MinGW32. Will investigate further to see what causes this to happen on Visual Studio.
