3D model support? Texture blending?

Chasm looks bad. Cliffs are too blocky and snow border is too crisp. That's how snow should look:

There should be support for that. I've seen tutorials for other Quake 3 derivates.
I'd argue that the reason the snow looks not even remotely like snow is our bloom implementation. It should only consider addition maps, not the resulting color after shading.
