Lucifer Cannon

The Lucifer Cannon is to us what the BFG was for Quake or Doom. It's a heavy weapon that can be charged to fire a slow but devasting energy projectile that will blast most aliens to bits and can tear down whole bases.

Have a look at the concept by alex_bo:

The weapon has a single battery and does not need a reload animation (it will be recharged remotely once you get into the range of an armoury).

Note that if you're indifferent about what human weapon to model, the HMG would have a greater priority for us.

I know that this gun isn't in higher priority but he's the one that interest me the most. If it's ok for you I will start to model it really soon :)

Ahah thanks, I will start today :).

I was wondering if I could get the First person arm ? Just an obj (no texture), so it would be more easy for me to get the correct scale, modeling the grip, etc ?

Yesterday I've worked two hours ont the cannon, a first problem appears, it doesn't really look like a BFG, but more like an Blaster or a Plasma Rifle, is that ok ?
So I haven't started the high poly because I didn't know if that was ok for you, here is a first wip (just a blockout made in ~ 1/2h)to let you see what I mean :
