Hey guys,

I have been a bit bussy. Here you have and update of pistol project (Lowpoly with textures I have been working). I wanted to practice a bit Substance Painter and Designer, so I have been playing a bit with them until a feel more comfortable to texture the pistol. Due the nature of substance painter I have to convert PBR textures (diffuse, height, metallic, normal and roughness) to legacy textures (diffuse, spec, normal) and it might differ a bit from one to other.

Lowpoly model has 5810 tris and 2k textures.

You can see turntable of the model here:

Sorry for delaying so much,

Sergio

I assume the texture is work in progress? Or do you want feedback on the current state?

Hey Viech,

I had some issues with marmoset toolbag configuration (related with sRGB options) and also and strange bug in roughness map. I have been testing until I found how to solve it.

I also added some modifications like materials, scratches, dirt and so on.

Let me know your opinion,

Sergio

Oh, that looks different!

I like the color scheme a lot, apart from maybe the color you used on the trigger and the backside of the handle: The yellow tint makes it look a bit like brass and breaks with the otherwise modern look of the gun. Maybe slate or titatanium silver could work here. The grip pattern is a nice idea and well executed. I think the greenish material on the weapon's body is on spot, too. The black material on the slide is a tad too scratched for my taste and it could use a bit more specularity, too, as it's quite matte for your typical "gun metal". All in all a pretty good texturing job so far!
