Okay so model need to fit in a Square to fit the bounding box!
Drill (2)
Re: Drill (2)
Roughly. Both free space and parts sticking out of the box are fine to some degree. Have a look at how the Reactor (which has a similiar shape) attempts to fill the box with its rotating arms. Unfortunately we have no arms here, so the Drill's body needs to do that. Also note that the Turret's barrel sticks out of the box. That's not that much of an issue since it will seldomly reach into a wall (after all, there's nothing to shoot there…).

Re: Drill (2)
Indeed, good job! Proportions look fine, too. Will you surprise us with another awesome texturing job now?

Re: Drill (2)
This is my low poly,so I'll start the high poly, then uv's,then bake it,then textures and I'll try to do my best :D
Re: Drill (2)
I guess there are a few areas where you could potentially save some more tris for the low poly version, for example the hollow on the side of the topmost piece or the lower end of the tubes that connect the upper and the lower part of the feet.
Looking forward to the high poly then!

Re: Drill (2)
That looks very good! Any idea how you'd like to color this thing? Maybe a glow map involved? Oh, and let's wait for Viech to give the final approval, he'll be on in the morning.
