In the latest version of Unvanquished, I experienced problems with the keyboard layout. When I am using the Dvorak layout with a QWERTY keyboard hardware, the way it usually works is
(1) During gameplay, a key binding is activated by pressing the same physical key on the keyboard (so I can use the default binds WASD for movement, for example). The keyboard layout is ignored, which is good.
(2) When typing in the console or chat, the software-generated keyboard layout is used.
But now, it is using the Dvorak keyboard for both chat and binds. This means that if movement keys are bound to wasd, I must now press the physical keys ,a;h in order to move. If I press the keys wasd, then the binds for keys ,aoe are activated.
At least I was still able to play by switching to the QWERTY layout.
Was there some change in alpha 19 or 20 that could have caused this?
