A slime gun similar to that from unreal tournament. So you shoot at it leave a slime on wherever you fire and harms aliens who walk over it.
Maybe a secondary weapon or something that can be use as a force field or plasma shield for a Max of 5 seconds at a time before recharging.
Also. How about a Scopes and high power rifle. I'm not sure if this already exists in unvanquished as I haven't downloaded it yet. And its been about 6 months since I played tremulous. So sorry of this suggestion is already in effect

I was playing OpenArena today, and most of the trem weapons had their equivalents, except one. There was this long-range hitscan weapon that fired continuously, dealing damage over a period of time. Their representation put it as an electrical weapon, but it could be implemented differently (lasers anyone?). I'm just throwing this out here, but it would definitely be cool.
Should we be creating more of our own weapons? rather than copying other games?
I suggest something like a rocket launcher.
I like the damage over time idea, although, i would implement it in a different way. What if it was a grenade (with some sort of alien virus or something) that would do one large hit (less than grenade) then temporarily drain alien health for a period of time. The only cure is to touch the overmind or survive the timelimite (maybe basi cures?). Im thinking that the cwait before the explosion would be a second less than the grenade with a different drop sound. :p anyone like?
I'm thinking that there should be a medic class for each team. Basically a player that maybe has less attack, or weapons in the humans case, but can rapidly heal other humans or aliens
