I just felt something very special… It's comes with an awe like “wait, what, we can do that?”.
This feeling doesn't come from something bling bling, but from something looking credible without bragging about it, just being convincing.

Instead of just seeing things on screen because they are bright enough, I actually felt they are lit with a light. My brain just processed the scenes as lit with lights. It can be crazy to say that, but in two decades of Tremulous and Unvanquished experience, that's something new to me. The sun of ATCSHD is the only previous experience I can remember of having felt that, but in that map I get the feeling in non-sun lit places too. Those renders truly convinced my brain those surfaces were lit with a light, not just brightened with some cast color…

It's impressive how convincing this sun shadow is cancelled by the nearby light…
