Well then. All I can say is good luck trying to make a sensible story for this egg, explaining:

  • If Unvanquished is set in a time of conflict between aliens and humans, a similar answer to the metaphorical question "Which came first, the chicken or the egg?"
  • How the Granger can supposedly form out human skulls, or how the substance it spits out can form out human skulls while it grows into an egg
  • How the structure of the egg does not collapse by its own weight
  • If the egg can be built on the ceiling, why the skulls are inversely affected by gravity, or how did the skulls even get up in there

I will not argue any further. I will still stand with my opinion and, until I see a sensible story, I will not change my view on removing the skulls. Arguing any further just leads to heated debate and much hate, which is not what we want. The fact that Fuma asked "What skulls?", and apparently purposefully added that as an available option on the poll, already implied that the people involved in working on this egg already decided to remove the skulls. So I'm glad they took that direction. Thus, that leads to our conclusion, and we will not need to discuss any more concern about these skulls.

Thread locked on request of the author. If anyone wants to discuss this further, message me and I'll unlock it, presumably under the condition that things are kept civil.

In the future, for threads like these (and this goes for everyone):

  • Keep the poll answers limited to yes/no/neutral. Otherwise you run the risk of something inflammatory or ambiguous (which can lead into being inflammatory).

  • Realize that the other side has an equally valid opinion, even if you feel very strongly about the issue. Opinions are just that. They are not facts. You do not need to attack each other to prove your point.
