It shouldn't be THAT hard. Just like JOURNEYMAN said, the minimap should only show the level you are on, not everything at once.

Seconded. Even atcs is a bit confusing while showing all levels.

@everyone else: Yeah, that's the conclusion we came to ourselves. Perhaps show a larger minimap that is bound to a key and can be brought up momentarily, much like pressing tab to display score, and display nearby stuff on your actual minimap.
Yeah, I'd totally like to have the minimap displayed fullscreen when pressing a particular key.
If you plan on showing teammates on the minimap (which you should IMHO), those who are on a higher level than you should have a different icon from those who are lower/on the same level.

I guess its possible to install 'tolerance' into how far up/down from the Z value you are. Like, 'if the top surface is within a range of 100 units above/below, display'. The further from your position, the more transparent it becomes.
