I'm not Viech, so you should totally wait for him to answer, but I think magazine should be separate at least for first person animations. Don't know about aim tho

We need the rifle with a seperate magazine for the reload animation, yes. With regards to the scope, I'm not sure whether our engine allows us to put an image in it dynamically (yet). You could use a seperate texture space so that we can later replace the display easily. Ideally the new space would be mapped so that when we put a square snapshot of the game world in it, it would appear appropriately on the display. Might be easiest if the surface of the display is flat. For now dark glass sounds good.
Ok, then probably will do two variants. One with dark glass texture and in second will do clean texture for scope
