I'll try to formulate my remark in a somewhat civilized manner:

technically, this model looks awesome, the artist is clearly skilled.

Now she does like scary: she strikes me as the kind of woman who'd pwn you
with armwrestling and grab you in a headlock to drag you around for some dancing.
For a military-style character, this would probably not be unwelcome.

But bottom line, I don't like this type of woman. I usually play RPG games and the likes
with female characters, for the simple reason that, if I have to watch a digital character on the screen,
I prefer a girly woman over a hairy manbeast. The slightly younger, mostly male, gamer demographics
might agree.

I'm not saying she should be Laura Croft, but I thing she gave birth a few times, and mothers
should not be out there playing with guns.

That's exactly what we're going for.

I disagree with Ingar. I think the artist nailed it.

The model is totally in line with the concept art and the concept art is in line with the kind of game we are making. This isn't a game people choose when they want sexy player models and visual effects. Those players are already lost to us because of our old engine etc.

I'm completely in line with kharnov and janev here but it appears a compromise is advisable (taking into consideration recent IRC discussions involving me and Ishq in addition to the people who posted here). I assume that's also what kharnov forwarded.

However, I want to stress that the current version is a perfect execution of the concept art and has high technical quality. In the future, if you are opposed to a certain design, try to raise your doubts in time so we can talk about this without wasting the time of artists that are doing nothing less than an awesome job.

Model looks fine.

1) Women on average are not as tall as men. Model looks fine.

2) As far as I know giving birth does not break your hip bone and forces it to regrow wider. Looks fine.

3) Arm length seems to be correct in rear view. From front the public are seems to be too high, not the arms too short. Hands have no muscle so whether they should be bulked up a bit or not is up to the modeler. Can't comment on the thumb since screens are small.

4) Lol.

5) Sports bras. Look em up.

I'll try and find up the dDo preset file I made for the male so texturing will just require a single button press.
