I only just found out about this, but though it might help some mappers who are looking for space models.

Holy crap, that's an amazing find there. I'm sure we could use some of these space suits in maps (as well as the rockets :))

Most of these have a pretty high poly count. It would be easier to create one of these from scratch than go through the trouble of reducing the poly count.

Yes I understand. But if unvanquished dev is thinking of upgrading the engine so it can handle high poly a bit better these could become useful

No, you misunderstood this. Its not the engine that cant handle these models, its the fact that these models are not meant to be used in realtime. They are for rendering, films etc... Their polycount goes beyond 150k tris, even the biggest assets in crysis 2 dont go over 22k
