Using the subforums

Post by Viech »

I organized Assets & Artwork into a number of subforums: Concepts, Models, Animations, Sounds.

They serve as a "job board" for unassigned tasks and as a platform for feedback during the process of artwork creation. The idea is that each item (e.g. a weapon model) will have a thread in each subforum, starting with a request in Concepts. A concept artist can approach the task and post updates to that same thread, a moderator will adjust the thread's status from Unassigned to In-progress then. Once the concept is done, the thread will be marked as Closed. The concept is then assigned to a modeler in the Models subforum and later to an animator and a sound designer.

Everything that is not related to such an assignment should go to the Assets & Artwork subforum itself. If you are missing a category for your artwork please post here.

With the new forum software we don't have support for tags anymore, so I added post icons:

Imagenassigned, In Imagerogress, Imageompleted, Imageborted, Imageraft

Responsible for: Arch Linux package & torrent distribution, Parpax (map), Chameleon (map texture editor), Sloth (material file generator), gameplay design & programming, artistic direction

We now also have an Implementation subforum in case code changes are needed in order to put assets ingame.
