You caught us quite early though, we are still in alpha stage (and generally wouldn't advertise the game in order not to deter potential players).

I agree, unvanquished might not on the same level of completeness as other competing games. But, and thats the main reason for the nomination, you make steady progress and you came a long way. I actually do remember playing tremoulous when there was not much else available with comparable gameplay for Linux.
