MAIN FEATURES:

* Integrated into the options.
* 5 hud layouts! (From GPP) Default, Centered, Compact, the new Hotbar hud and the new Cross Hud!
* Custom loadingscreen.
* For all the layouts (exept Hotbar) you have a choice of 3 color schemes:
- The Superpie hud color scheme. Based off the Tweaked GPP Hud by Superpie.
- The Warrior hud color scheme. Based off the Warrior's Hud by Warrior.
- The Hellrider hud color scheme. Based off the Hellrider Hud (v1.1) by Hellrider.
* The option to place the Adv. Good barbs underneath the crosshair.
* Optional fullscreen radar.
* Optional stamina progress bar!
* Optional Human crosshair dot in 4 colors: white, blue, red and black.
* Option menu to change the appearance of the console.
* Mostly Unvanquished compatible!


V8.2 RC: CHANGES FROM V8.1 RC
*Applied changes made in Alpha 11.

V8.1 RC: CHANGES FROM V8 RC
*Applied changes made in Alpha 10.

V8 RC: CHANGES FROM V7.1
*Added compatibility to the new hud select menu.
*Updated weapon.cfg 's so the 1st person arms show up. (originally changed to add custom crosshairs).
*Added red crosshair dot as requested by JOURNEYMAN.
*Removed VSAY changes. (Probably outdated, won't work on multiplayer)
*Removed Custom hud colours for now, will add them back later.

V7.1: CHANGES FROM V7
*Moved hudoptions from the main menu to the options menu.
*Daemon options now incorporated into the options menu.
*Standardized loading screen as suggested on IdeaTorrent.
*Added cg_mirrorgun command to the options.
*Minor tweaks.

V7: CHANGES FROM V7 RC
*Hudoptions main menu tweaks.
*Shortened macros.
*Added cg_drawGun "2" into main menu options.
*Now server compatible!
*Minor tweaks.

V7 RC: CHANGES FROM V6.3
*Rewritten the hud code to now refer to a color scheme file and a layout file. This means more consistancy between the huds and easier tweaks/fixes.
*Added the very minimalistic Cross Hud!
*Added a Custom color scheme file so you can make your own color schemes that will work on all the huds!
*Major tweaks.
*Minor tweaks.

V6.3: CHANGES FROM V6.2
*Fixed the misaligned health cross icon on all huds that where introduced thanks to the icon changes in Alpha 6.
*Changed the select icon on most huds with the new select icon, or an circle.
*Introduced poison meter in the Hotbar Hud.
*Replaced normal evo counter with the new evo counter that shows decimal value. (Hotbar only)
*Added my VSay menu changes in as default.
*Fixed spacing in main menu options and added in a way to bind the quickmenu's in there.
*Minor tweaks.

V6.2: CHANGES FROM V6.1
*Adapted changes made to the main menu.
*Changed colorscheme of the Hotbar hud (humans: blue/gray | Aliens: red/black)
*Minor tweaks.

V6.1: CHANGES FROM V6
*Small tweak to the tutorial text as the new font made it look squased.
*Changed the colorsceme of the Hotbar hud to be more like the default hud.
*Added a backdrop to the progressbars in the Hotbar hud for better visability.
*Small hotfix for the vanilla hud as the new font missaligned the buildpoints ownerdraw on the alien hud.

V6: CHANGES FROM V5.3
*Added the Hotbar hud, a progressbar based hud!
*The custom added menu's are fully integrated with the new main menu style.
*Moved the hud preview images in the hud options to top of the options instaid to the side.
*Minor overall tweaks.

To install:

  1. Be sure to delete any older versions of the Hotfix-Hud.
  2. Extract the archive into your 'main' folder.
  3. Open the console (~) and type in:

    Code: Select all

    /exec hotfix_install.cfg
  4. Done!

Half of this project depends on your feedback, so I would like to know what you think!

Great stuff. I hope you start using the new UI stuff we've added. Real stamina bars, etc. Also, if you have anymore feature requests, let me know and I'll add them.

That should teach me to take a closer look at the menudef.h file, maybe then I would have noticed the CG_PLAYER_STAMINA ownerdraw. Damn xD.
Ill start working on integrating it.

Also, nice work on the AMMO_STACK, it looks amazing!

Thanks, benmachine wrote the code for the ammo stack (I believe). Also, both of those items are planned. I'll have them comitted soon so they should be in the next alpha.

Awesome!

In the meantime, my codemonkey has been working on a preview on what kind of hud I would want to make with the healthbar/staminabar/ammobar/ext.
It's designed to take up as little of the screen as possible, while still being highly visible and still shows all the information you need.

It is included with this update (that includes the actual staminabars now, yay!) so test it out!
t's still in the prototype phase though, so if any of you have suggestions for changes let me hear them so I could implement them!
When the next update arrives I'm planning to release the full hud alongside a centered version of this hud.

Only the healthbar is a placeholder. Once overdraw CG_PLAYER_HEALTH_BAR is implemented I only need to replace the line CG_PLAYER_STAMINA for it to work.

Everything else works as advertised.
