Registering ig4icd32.dll - Windows XP

Post by ViruS »

ig4icd32.dll is the "openGl" driver or something like that. I tried updating it manually using

Code: Select all

regsvr32 ig4icd32.dll

and get this:

Code: Select all

ig4icd32.dll was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found.
This file can not be registered.

The reason for me trying this is because Quake Live is being a !@#$ and not accepting my current version, and also as a side effect I might be able to use GL3 for Unvanquished. Possibly. :) (I actually didn't think of this until a few minutes ago, oh well)

Anyone experienced here in these sort of stuff?

No but the obvious thing is to uninstall your gfx drivers, reboot, then install a more up-to-date driver for your card.
From the fact your having issues with QL i'm guessing its either an integrated gfx card and probably a laptop?

I've got the latest drivers for my video (november 4 2012 - intel mobile chipset 4) so it won't let me "downgrade" to an older driver. I remember this computer didn't overheat at all with the old graphics driver from 2011 as well.

Damn right. Intel reckons this is a custom made laptop though... so I got my drivers from lenovo... or the other way around, can't remember :/
