certain keys are not working

Since the last UV update it seems that certain keys are not functional any more for me.

  • i can't open the console with ~
  • i can't type special characters like äöü (umlauts)
  • if i bind any other key to /toggleconsole, it is not working either
    All my other binds are working fine.

Ubuntu Linux, Version 12.04 (precise) (64-Bit)
UV installed via the repository

I allready did a clean new install, same issues.
I talked to Viech on IRC allready and he suspects SDL might cause this. I ran UV with +nocurses, here is the output:

i have both versions installed (linux and windows), on windows everything is fine, but in the linux version i have the same problems that Jack (Linux Mint maya 64, game installed via repos).

It's amazing how fast and smooth runs the windows version via wine on Mint

Most of these input problems (which are only present in builds using SDL 1.2) are fixed now.

Debian and Ubuntu packages (squeeze, wheezy, sid; 12.04, 12.10, 13.04) may work on derivatives

sorry anomalous, i don't understand -- will there be a fix for this before alpha 0.21?

Fixes have been committed, and some updated .debs have been built and released.

Debian and Ubuntu packages (squeeze, wheezy, sid; 12.04, 12.10, 13.04) may work on derivatives
