What of the Helmet? WHy not just add some derpy sonar-vision? It sends out waves, finds you walls.
Would the minimap also show us things like tunnels that are below us, or would it work on a layer system?
That wouldn't help all humans and aliens though. It needs to be global, minimaps are best.
Defiantly needs to be added.
The radar blips can be rendered onto the minimap, I'd think.
We can refer to how Xonotic did theirs, although their code is practically alien to me.
Btw, was the radiant "x-ray" picture capability actually intended for minimaps?

That would be helpful, especially as alien on maps where you can sense humans in the next hall over, and you think they're close by but they're actually not.

Wouldn't work for multilevel maps. Our implementation will most likely make use of the bot navigation meshes instead.
