after you obviously done the ground work and the game is near completion.

If you want the game to succeed you need to find a way of blending in a spectator view that allows "commentators" access to the tools needed to respectfully show off what is happening at a competitive level when teams/ clans have wars.

if you can't achieve this. this game will never be more then a casual thing thats fun n enjoyed a minor population of people who have found it via what ever means.

Ok then. Personally I believe that to make a game popular you need to obviously have a good idea and game, but also advertise it like crazy as well as get good reviews from sign, GameSpot, etc.
But yes I agree with your idea, although there are more important ways of bringing in players

Define ourselves from a casual to a competitive game

Apart from "normal FPS" games, competitive games tend to die out quickly for some reasons... maybe it's the lack of newbies fighting newbies situation...

There needs to be a balance between casual and competitive

Instead of "Unvanquished" or "Vanquished" we should be "Semi-vanquished" then.

Quite a few members of the dev team played Trem competitively so we're definitely interested in adding features for the competitive community. Handling this well is kind of difficult (especially for FPS games) but hopefully we'll work something out. There's not really any plans regarding this at the moment though.
