Upgrading armour and Battlesuit

Post by Jaroth »

In the last tremulous we had to things that cover human body, (light armour and battlesuit), now i thought: "and if we add to the armours and battlesuits something that tell us how much protection we have, using the same thing that we use to the life (HP)...
Think in quake, or another game for example

(((((((((((((((((((((((((((-----)) (((((((((((((((((((-------------))
95% HP 75% ARMOUR

And if you dont know what i am talking about here is the link:

This is over-used... oh well... There's a problem with this - where does the bsuit go after it runs out?

The armour in Trem only lowers damage done to you rather than providing an extra barrier so it doesn't really work.

Make an animation that has a tattered bsuit falling in pieces to the ground. I agree with you about the overused bit, though.

Look, maybe its over-used, but i think its better on the battlesuit, because when a tyrant kills you using battlesuit, well maybe you can hold on a little longer if we got this, But do this as if it were an improvement towards humans, but this does not affect too much the aliens, make it that matched the teams...

PD: the light armour can be left alone without changes just like it is, oh and in the battlesuit if you return to the base it can not be repaired again, however you can sell it...

Who would want to buy a heavily damaged equipment? Maybe a ckit can repair the damaged battle suit?

Grab reality by the balls and squeeeeze!

Ok, you got your point, but think in thihs too: if we repair the battlesuit, it wont be a good balanced game, we can repair but then again, we need another alien improvement

Let's allow an alien to heal others in the field.

If you have played korx, you should know that it has the following:
Grangerbarbs heal alien structures when the have spawned [not currently building]
Ckits can heal any human unless it is esd [therefore becomes painsaw-like to prevent cheating]
Thinking of which, we should add esd/vesd to unvanquished. It is old, but is quite fun. We could use this rather than using a timelimit, which only gives a warning and thats it.
