That's Korean Hangul. Don't know why it's being spammed as there is no Korean translations available. Check your system settings.

Dunno, just happened randomly. The console was clean at the time as well, it didn't appear in the console at all. I should've taken a screenie.

There's another console problem that is easily reproduceable, but I havn't figured out how to reproduce it. It just comes often.
When the bug is in effect, if you type something like
Code: Select all
/say hi, i'm a unvanquished user
it comes out as, or something like
Code: Select all
[S]user:hi, i'm a unvanquished user
but often when the text disappears (as it usually would) instead of it disappearing completely, this happens:
Code: Select all
1ished user
if "unvanquished" has a red "ished" on the end.
Basically the line clear tool doesn't work properly all the time. I get it mostly on utcs, although it does happen on other maps. I don't think maps are related though.
The annoying part about this bug is that it happens to every last line that was removed. Including MODs.

Have you changed anything related to:
console font size
hud (like placements)
notification times
horizontal resolution
Because you seem to be the only one having these problems currently.
And im pretty sure, that this is happening in the cgame/ui or related environment. (I removed the last remains of notification code from the client-console, as it wasn't used there anyway)
This probably also means, that it's rather unlikly to happen on only one client without specialized settings causing it.

My resolution is 980x580.
It never happened until about 3 alphas ago.
I think it may be due to a faulty ui though, as my cgame file also has a few bugs on that server; turrets don't shoot straight.
Do you remember the alpha release where new models for turrets were introduced? Same bug.
