Please add a paper-thin sword made of space-age materials that cuts alien hide at a slightest touch (no need to swing it at the aliens, if you position the sword correctly aliens should cut themselves with it).
But we have melee weapon already, and sword-like weapon looks a bit unacceptable for sci-fi game, imo

Energy sword was pretty epic in Halo.
