Re: No weapon sound

I found cgame.mp.i386.so, ui.mp.i386.so, and qagame.mp.i386.so files in .Unvanquished/main directory. Once I deleted them, all the errors are gone and I can hear weapon sounds again.
Those old files were interfering with new ones and causing the problems.
Thanks for the help.

Re: No weapon sound

All pk3 files are those of maps and pak0 and pak1 files. There are no other asset pk3s. And the pak0 and pak1 files are freshly downloaded from sourceforge.

Not sure if they are related but here it is. 1ERROR: unknown token 'flashDLight' in weapon section 1ERROR: failed to parse weapo...

Re: commanders

Almost all of Unvanquished players are from Tremulous, and if you've seen how Tremulous is played not sure it will work as your suggestion. Only a few experienced players display some sign of teamwork and the rest just go about their own way. Perhaps with subsequent updates and possible game play ch...

Re: Game freezes

I believe they are closed source drivers. One of the reasons I got the ATI with the laptop was that, at the time ATI was actively supporting Linux community by developing Linux drivers for their graphics card. When I remembered the kill process, I pressed Ctrl-Alt-F4 to switch and killed it from the...

Re: Game freezes

I use
OpenSuSE 12.1
Dell Inspiron 600M
1.4 GHz Pentium M
ATI Radeon 9000
Yes, it's rather old system. but it works for my needs.

Heh. I've never had to kill process before that I totally forgot about it. Will do next time. Also, I'll try to build in debug mode and see how that goes.

Every time I get killed, the game freezes, and I have to restart the computer. Does anyone else have same problem?

Server Status

I think it would be nice to view server status on this forum, so that we know how many players are currently online.
