Re: Idea: Base defenses should encourage attacking

leaving base doesn't mean you're attacking, you could just camp the entraces.

It means that the enemy can fight you on fair terms (no defenses helping you) and if anyone retreats, attack-encouraging defenses will stop working.

Re: Poll: gameplay changes so far

Battlesuits, battlesuits everywhere. And Tyrants. Especially Tyrants. Not much more agressive, but much more boring, IMO Seriously, when you getting advance in evolution, some of previous become useless. That`s not so fun Being forced to camp is not fun either. And please remove "can't evolve ...

Idea: Space Sword

Please add a paper-thin sword made of space-age materials that cuts alien hide at a slightest touch (no need to swing it at the aliens, if you position the sword correctly aliens should cut themselves with it).

Re: Blender Map Exporter

I've looked at the code and it looks like it even uses Blender renderer for lightmaps. IMO Unvanquished should ditch NetRadiant and use Blender plugins for mapping.

Re: Idea: Feng Shui

Even worse, you are trying to add hidden mechanics Unvanquished already has hidden mechanics, like strafe-jumping and small aliens being able to bite humans in the head without climbing or jumping (both of these are from Tremulous), and the developers don't seem to have problems with these mechanic...
