Re: game speed is way too fast

Multiple game modes is something that has been discussed multiple times in the past; should we ever implement that, I could see a slower variant being made for sake of new players. I honestly have found that after playing faster paced (than Tremulous) Quake-style games, Tremulous actually felt a bit...

I don't post these announcements on the forum. A script on the site does it automatically.

You could always edit the post afterwards and copy-and-paste the content in?

I suspect many people would go back to the multiplayer mode after a few rounds. This. There's tons of real-world examples of where this style of gameplay just doesn't ...

Re: Shotgun Sights

If by "quake arena shooter" you mean very fast paced, then yes, I think that is the intention, though we are still working out what our final design will be. Adding weapon sights would have to do something to the gameplay to warrant their inclusion; if accuracy were to increase when sights...

Re: Couple of questions about unvanquished

rag dolls? Yes No, we do not actually have rag dolls as of yet. item physics? Yes There is/was newton support but I have no idea the status of that. I don't believe anyone on the dev team has so much as experimented with that as of late. That was the pet project of a former developer (Dushan) who i...

Re: Unvanquished: Thunder Trailer

Nice trailer! I think the end logo would look cool if you applied some kind of gaussian blur ("bloom" effect) to it.

Now I just need to finish working on all those map models I said I would....

Re: Alien Bases that look like Alien Bases

Well you could some how make the overmind the source of the dynamic geological change some how. Because of limitations of the engine, actually modifying map geometry is (practically) out of the question. Dynamically creating geometry on top of map geometry is, however, quite possible. Well maybe pe...

Re: html page typo

I see no typo, and JSLint agrees with me. The only reasonable faults of that code is the missing radix argument to usages of parseInt.
