weapon giving map entities exist (AFAIK no functionality was removed from the trem entities). if a mission map was possible in trem it is possible to make it in Unvanquished too. A some day we'll have better stuff for mission maps (scripting????)

It is not possible to do that because in real life the arms are very low in our field of view and are actually beyond the camera frustum in games. For example in Mirror's Edge (that has the same animation for third and first person) the third person position is very wrong . You can search for it on ...

Yes, thanks for the bug report. This happens to be a bug in the virtual filesystem so we did not catch it prior to release (we use pk3dirs vs pk3s). Yeah it looks quite good! However comparing with the concept art I feel the shoulders are less square-y, then ankle is a bit narrow. Overall it makes the battlesuit look less bulky and less badass, at least for me. Also the knees look like they are a bit low for a real person (or they would need to ...
