weapon giving map entities exist (AFAIK no functionality was removed from the trem entities). if a mission map was possible in trem it is possible to make it in Unvanquished too. A some day we'll have better stuff for mission maps (scripting????)

It is not possible to do that because in real life the arms are very low in our field of view and are actually beyond the camera frustum in games. Yeah it looks quite good! However comparing with the concept art I feel the shoulders are less square-y, then ankle is a bit narrow.
