Re: Error: Error during initialization: Couldn't compile ver
Are you using the 0.37 client? It isn't compatible with 0.38 and generally compatibility breaks between 0.<x> versions.
Otherwise can you paste the full log somewhere?
Thanks!

Re: VM fail
uuuuh this is a shame, we thought there was no linux32 users anymore so we did not package thing for it in the universal zip. You will find the irt_core-x86.nexe and the right nacl_loader here http://dl.unvanquished.net/deps/linux32-3.tar.bz2

Re: VM fail
Yes, having a 32bit machine makes a difference, do the same thing as Tom suggested but with only x86 instead of x86_64.
Hope it will work for you!

That's why we have server-side validation of all gameplay elements and an admin system.

Re: Hey I can't launch the game :(
Ok lamefun you are starting to be really annoying.
@Bluefire: are you running alpha 0.36? This problem happens sometimes when you have a version mismatch between the server and your client.

Re: failure at startup: bizarre crashlog
This makes me thing that once Jessie's out we'd better raise our minimum requirements to OpenGL 3.2, that is Mesa 10+
I hate to give you this answer but sadly we have no way to fix it (or don't want to such a specific workaround) as it is a bug in a no longer bugfixed version of Mesa.
