*by the way why do the game files get installed into /var/games at all ?? is there a plausible reason to NOT install them into /usr/(games/) or /opt like it is scheduled by the LSB http://www.linuxfoundation.org/collabor ... groups/lsb ??

a 'apt-get purge unvanquished unvanquished-common' doesn't delete /var/games/unvanquished/* ... why? If you want to reinstall from scratch these files MUST be gone, otherwise it won't change anything (> get rid of files from the previous versions, if f.e you run into upgrade problems like i did)...s...

so now,

'sudo apt-get install unvanquished' returns an exit status 1 from the unvanquished-common install script.

E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

hmm, so i can connect to the NA server because its the only one running 0.24 allready BUT the left mouse button doen't trigger the team choose menu anymore. So I am kind of stuck with the spectator mode. the only thing i can do is invoke the ingame menu via ESC and since that is lacking a 'join' ent...

hmmm, upgrading from 0.23 to 0.24 on my ubuntu system here got me in some trouble. remove leftover pk3 files inside ~/.Unvanquished. The pak*.pk3 placed there by some servers can cause breakage. well, i removed the whole .Unvanquished dir. Now the options menu is accessible, almost. I can't set Multisampling anymore. Its set fixed to 'No'. Also the apply button within the options...
