From what I heard the new renderer has already been more efficient than the old one when doing the same tasks. Regardless of whether this is true, disabling high poly models and some of the more "advanced" renderer effects should make the game playable on any hardware that runs the new ren...

Making the yellow a brass sort of color makes sense to me. I disagree, previously it were different materials, made the model interesting (the tank was an eyecatcher). Now it looks more like one material was used and then hue shifted. The "tank" should really have a surface material of it...
