Re: Some quick questions...
1) Try idling in IRC at #unvanquished on freenode. People will organize games there if they're going to be playing. 2) I don't think the bot library is included in the client download, as it's rather large and somewhat buggy. 3) Ingame, you can use the commands "/cmdlist" and "/cvarli...

Re: Steam Considerations?
It's specifically stated in Steam's TOS that Open Source projects are not allowed. As you can see by the massive number of game devs ravenously attempting to get included on Steam, I don't think asking is going to help. Unvanquished cannot be and never will be on Steam until either: 1) Steam changes...

Re: Ballgun | Plasma Shotgun
Pulse rifle is very underrated and doesn't need a replacement really. I think it just needs more people using it. This is very true. With the projectile speed buff that the pulse got in GPP, it's truly an excellent choice for a high-dps weapon with a high skill cap. I think the idea of a weapon tha...

Re: Female Trooper - Silhouette Concept Art
I'm a fan of 3 and 9.
In general, I feel like short, functional hair will be the best choice for both sensibility and model aesthetics.
I like the idea of 9, with the mechanical elements, but I'm not sure how it fits in with the entire "fighting clones" backstory.

Re: Unvanquished Perk System :D (please read all)
There's a distinction between being bold and making extremely awkward gameplay changes just for the sake of change. A bold step might be to make a properly designed alien class or weapon and test it carefully. I don't think "vampire mode" or any other suggestion in this thread is a good i...

Re: Score vs Frags/Kills
Have you seen the N7 mod, RE: the evos/creds? (Evos are given based on the amount of creds an opponent has. That means that killing Lucid gives you more evos than killing me.) I dislike this idea. It punishes players who do well by making death even harsher if they do well. That sounded awfully lib...

Re: Score vs Frags/Kills
I like the idea of score being 4 for a basic kill (dretch, naked human) and increasing from there. Perhaps increasing in a linear amount depending on evos/credits spent on the player who was killed, roughly 1 point per 400 credits or 1 evo. 8 for turrets, medi, DC and repeater; 10 for nodes, arm and...
