Re: Flamer - Redesign

Sorry for the long time with no update. Been having some other things to take care of. Expect some updates in the next few days. I want to get the design nailed down and get moving on to starting the model.

Re: Flamer - Redesign

I like the under-slung design too, wasn't too sure about a standard rifle-butt being practical for a flamer weapon. If anything, I'd like to switch the top-rail handle to the cross bar (like the chainsaw) and maybe add a bit more bulk to the body section. Thank you all for your input.

Re: Flamer - Redesign

Hello, everyone. It's been far too long since I have gotten to work on this project so here we go. I'm been giving the stock/trigger issue some thought and came up with a mixed look. I've taken the regular trigger system and set it up like an under-slung carrying set. The first one is the original o...

Re: Flamer - Redesign

Thanks for the critiques and everything guys. It seems that 1 and 3 are the favorites, they are my favorites too. As far as the stock/trigger setup, that was on request from Viech to keep the control of the weapon more like a rifle then like a utility. I see if I can think up a mix between the two a...

Re: Flamer - Redesign

Here is an updated silhouette sheet. I've added three more designs, an top-load design, a more exotic style and a mix design with a blast-shield protecting the top-loaded tank. Let me know what you think.

Re: Flamer - Redesign

Thanks, I'll crank out a few more with that similar design points. I was thinking of doing a variant of 3 with a more buried tank like 1. Also, did you like the idea of a side handle like in 2?

Re: Flamer - Redesign

Hey guys, sorry for the long time no post, had somethings come up. Well, here is what I have been working on. I've decide to pump out a couple silhouettes to try and nail down a better design. I've got three of them so far, let me know what you think. In the mean time, I'll work on getting a couple ...

Re: Flamer - Redesign

Thanks for the advice Stannum. I'm working on getting better with 2D drawing/sketching. Also, the changes you suggested sound good, I'll see what I can work out and repost it here hopefully soon.

Re: Flamer - Redesign

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll play around with the design and see if I can pump out a few variants of each of the troubling areas. Thanks again to everyone for your input.

Re: Flamer - Redesign

Hey guys, I wanted to get an update up as soon as I could so here is what I've got. I didn't have the time to get this into Photoshop so bear with me, but I have a pencil sketch here of an updated look for the Flamer redesign. I updated the design a bit, moved some things around and most of all adde...
