Re: Overmind (2)

Niiiice! The eye looks awesome. We may need to adjust the glow map in the future to make it flatter (I'm no expert here) but I like your idea.

Re: Overmind (2)

It looks great! You did good job adapting the feel of other alien organisms. We're waiting for more detail on the eye :)

Re: Overmind (2)

This is exactly what I meant. New details look amazing! Don't forget about darker parts of the texture. You may also base your texturing on other alien models, for reference (see how dark and desaturated colors are, and how to make the texture look alien-organic): http://media.moddb.com/images/games...

Re: Overmind (2)

Wow, impressive! You're pretty fast. I like how you made the overmind more dynamic than in the concept. It looks better :) Here are my suggestions (please look at the image and corresponding numbers): The claws could be more emphasized. On the other hand, they don't have to look functional, they don...

Re: Overmind (2)

Glad you're interested in modelling the overmind. To make it clear - you're free to make any changes you feel would be appropriate. -Is the top part supposed to rotate? If so, does that mean the whole model have to be in 2 parts: one upper part and one lower part? -If they are separated, does the up...
