Re: New advanced map editor for Quake engines: TrenchBroom
Ok, this point is particularly unclear. :D At the very beginning we read on tremz.com the announcement about a future alpha which was never published on tremz.com but was finally published on unvanquished.net ... At the same time we read of people (developers, designers? ) saying "I left TremZ" when...

Re: New advanced map editor for Quake engines: TrenchBroom
If I'm not mistaken, we can schematize the history of Unvanquished in that way: http://dl.illwieckz.net/u/thomas-debesse/bazar/path-daemon-engine.svg Also, when I look at the screenshots, http://kristianduske.com/trenchbroom/docs/images/ui_overview.jpg it reminds me of Sauerbraten ( editing is done ...

Re: knife?
Turrets have bullets too. Turrets are not handled but, yes, we can say there is lot of bullets ! :)
But there is a big difference between a bullet fired and a knife, the first is the power, the second is we often do not use the knife to stab but also to cut (a throat, in war games).

Re: knife?
Knives are a good idea in " humans vs humans " games (like UrbanTerror) because humans are'nt fictionnal so not fictionnal weapon can be easily added to gameplay (everyone agree that a single stab in the right place can kill a human). In " humans vs imaginary something else " games like Tremulous or...

It avoids the problem that nobody can solve properly: "How to redistribute this money?"
, it's so comfortable.

Re: Flying Alien
- How do you imagine a flying alien? I picture an alien as a bat of sorts. I also have ideas of bat for other reasons. The jetpack is very slow, and we find it normal because it is in the nature of the jetpack to be slow. Also, no man can fly naturally, so it does not matter if a flying machine is ...
