How is giving more POINTS (score) "feeding" the other team? And where those credits/evos came from? I think you misread my post.

Oh woops, thought it was referring to creds. Yeah I guess this would be good and would stop nooby players spawn camping other noobs for high scores.

Re: Let's design human weapons!

I was playing OpenArena today, and most of the trem weapons had their equivalents, except one. There was this long-range hitscan weapon that fired continuously, dealing damage over a period of time. Their representation put it as an electrical weapon, but it could be implemented differently (lasers...

Re: Score vs Frags/Kills

Yes this might also make people more willing to suicide rush when they're full (assuming they care how much they feed). I'm not sure what this is referring to. I lie the idea of score given for killing someone based on how many points he has. Like 50-150% (based on difference between player and ave...

Re: Score vs Frags/Kills

Contrary to what seems to be popular belief, I find KDR to be a very important factor. In a game where your opponent's progress is based on your team's deaths, it's particularly important to be able to gauge where your team lies in comparison to the enemy team. KDR doesn't have a particularly good ...

Re: Balance changes and ideas.

[3]U serious? I think its bull. From two jumps, using the same amount of stamina i can gain more speed than the dodge, and not to mention [already mentioned] the 'stun time' after a dodge. Basically you slow down, u cant move as fast for a few hundred miliseconds, and you can't jump. Tremulous was ...

Kinda like BF3 Scoreboard (shows kills + deaths but higher score = higher spot on the table)

Re: Balance changes and ideas.

It certainly has not. It's closer to 2 years old (Cheese started AA somewhere around 2010). Alpha 1 didn't get played much before the server was taken down. The Australian community is only now starting to get acquainted with Unvanquished which is why we're seeing so much feedback. Dodge takes some...

Re: Balance changes and ideas.

Mara's don't have wall climb, and what's with the rant saying the devs are doing nothing lol. I'm not even going to respond to that, if you believe that, then, oh well. They don't literally have wallclimb. But they can climb walls (ie, holding w and spacebar allows you to scale a wall an...

Re: Balance changes and ideas.

Goon barbs in 1.1 were used primarily as a means to attack a base. They were rarely used in combat because they generally only helped when you got in a lucky shot. Adding in the splash allows them to be useful when attacking players as well. It's not lucky if you where actually trying to hit the hu...
