While I relate to some of your concerns, I think the measure you propose seems a bit extreme... but I don't know, maybe it's just change resistance. About armor, I see various pros and cons, which are often mixed: ⋅  it allows location damages, giving a reason and a reward to aim well, but...

I don't like this idea since it discourages hit and run tactics, by feeding enemies.

During most of the games, I noticed that the tyrants are dying when they are in tight space and trying to get out of that space. I also saw a tyrant trying to go through a wall and dying for no reason. When that happens, the console shows the tyrant was killed by noname. It seems that this only occ...

Corpses could "simply" made as entities, like grenades btw, and thus it would be possible to interact with them, instead of them being just ammo or shots or ghosts.

The problem of explosions is, it's only a danger for the close range attacker, which means, the aliens. For humans, the fact buildings explodes is an advantage which helps defense.
